Welcome to the Witchcraft Bibliography Project Online. The Bibliography is primarily a resource for historians and teachers of the witch persecutions from the late Middle Ages into the eighteenth century. It is an ongoing project which expands as new literature appears and new web tools become available. You can find a brief history of the Project here.

Using the Bibliography

You may browse the bibliographies drawn up by subject or region. You can also use the search facility to locate items by author or word in the title. Many of the bibliographies are divided into "primary" and "secondary" texts. You will also find a set of links pages and also a cloud of my del.icio.us tags below offering further resources for the study of witchcraft history and its early modern context.

Significant updates will be notified on the Witchcraft Bibliography Project Online blog associated with this site. You can also check the blog for information about new and forthcoming publications, conferences and seminars, etc..
